In a new effort, the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure services for two Chaplains to perform Religious Ministry Team Training Symposiums on two separate occasions and at two separate locations: 08-11 April 2008, Portsmouth, VA and 29 April through 02 May 2008, Camp Pendleton, CA. FISC?s intent is to process this procurement on a sole source basis to Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, a large business, to provide training on ethics, building knowledge, skills and abilities for employment of a nationality recognized spiritual assessment methodology, and developing skills to address recognition and understand of grief. FISC?s intent is to issue a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) procedures. There are two Period of Performance?s and two locations: 08 April 2008 through 11 April 2008, Portsmout h, VA and 29 April 2008 through 02 May 2008, Camp Pendleton, CA. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability received statements by 24 March 2008 will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Number note 26 applies. The applicable NAICS code is 622110.
