Description

The U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM&L LCMC), Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract to Stresau Laboratory, Inc. N8265 Medley Road, Spooner, WI 54801, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(A). The anticipated effort is for the support a test to determine the ability of the M55 Stab Detonator to initiate the Lead Cup Assembly in M42/M46 submunitions at various angles and positions, using the Langlie Method of MIL-STD-331, Revision C, to estimate the 0.5 probability of response. In order to successfully perform the requirements of this contract, the contractor must have knowledge and experience in handling and testing energetic/explosive material such as the M55 detonators (NOL 130, Lead Azide and RDX) and Lead Charges (RDX) to be tested in this effort. The contractor must be knowledgeable in testing fuzes and fuze components. The contractor must also be familiar with performing tests utilizing the Langlie method per MIL-STD-331 Rev C (Department of Defense Test Method Standard, Fuze and Fuze Components, Environmental and Performance Tests for).
