Replacement Facilities Anaconda Logistics Support Area, Iraq This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of construction firms or joint ventures experienced in working in the Middle East region who are interested in submitt ing an offer for this project. To be considered a construction firm, the firm must perform construction as a significant portion of its business. DBA insurance and Construction surety will be required. The estimated cost of construction is between $5,00 0,000 and $10,000,000. PROJECT SCOPE: The work will consist of the construction of pre-engineered steel-framed buildings for the following types of facilities: Administrative Battalion Headquarters Facility; Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR) / Recre ation Facility; 2 Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR) / Gyms; 6 Administrative Company Headquarters Facilities and Anti-Terrorist Force Protection (ATFP) requirements. Site survey will be required. Geotechnical design verification will be required. CO NTRACT PROCEDURES: Both a price proposal and a technical proposal will be required. Evaluation factors will include, at a minimum, price, past performance, management capability, and experience. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to prime contrac tors responding to this notice. Tentative date for issuance of RFP is 4 April, 2008. Tentative date for receipt of proposals is 4 May, 2008. Tentative contract award date is 4 June, 2008. Contract award will be made on a firm fixed-price basis. Antici pated contract duration is 236 calendar days, however this duration may change with amendments.
