Description

The contractor shall develop the AWCS 403 revision fleet documentation and complete design of the AWCS 403 hardware, and accomplish the SPALT planning for the AWCS 403 Revision as defined in OD 63763 Vol. 2, Program Plan for the Attack Weapon Control System. The contractor shall develop and deliver the AWIS SW Revision compatible with AWCS 403 as defined in OD 63763 Vol. 2, Program Plan for the Attack Weapon Control System in accordance with OD 61988, SP23 Programs Environmental, Ship Interface, Security and Safetey Requirements, OD 61424, Process for Design and Deployment of Hardware and Software Changes to SP23 Programs and the T9001B checklist dated April 25, 2007, Aux Equipment Type, Development Phase. The contractor shall develop concepts and system design for theAWCS 404 Revision. The AWCS 404 Revision in accordance with OD 61988, SP23 Programs Environmental, Ship Interface, Security and Safetey Requirements, OD 61424, Process for Design and Deployment of Hardware and Software Changes to SP23 Programs and the T9001B checklist dated April 25, 2007, Fire Control Type, Development Phase. The contractor shall provide the Government with an option for AWCS 403 Revision and development of the AWCS 404 Revision through Software CDR as defined in OD 63763 V Program Plan for the Attack Weapon Control System in accordance with OD 61988, SP23 Programs Environmental, Ship Interface, Security and Safetey Requirements, OD 61424, Process for Design and Deployment of Hardware and Software Changes to SP23 Programs and the T9001B checklist dated April 25, 2007, Fire Control Type, Development Phase. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
