The South Texas Veterans Healthcare System (STXVHS) has a requirement for a five year contract for Regulated Medical Waste and Sharps Removal, Transport and Disposal Services at various STXVHS facilities. This forthcoming solicitation will replace the previous Solicitation 36C25718Q9806 that was issued back on 8/1/2018 and subsequently cancelled. The period of performance for the base year of the contract is estimated to be 6-1-2019 through 5-31-2020. This opportunity is available only to contractors IAW 38 U.S.C 8127 (d) utilizing the Rule of Two and shall be 100% set-aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. This acquisition will be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Please do not send questions to this notice as it is only a Pre-Solicitation Notice. Questions will be accepted only after the Solicitation has been published. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Evaluation of offers and award will be IAW FAR Part 12 and in conjunction with FAR Part 15 Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable process. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 562112 with a small business size standard of $38.5M. The Contractor shall adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations in effect during the term of this contract. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The solicitation shall be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about March 18th, 2019. Offerors must be registered and CVE verified at the Vendor Information Pages at www.vip.vetbiz.gov, and currently registered in the System For Award Management (S.A.M) database at www.sam.gov. Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired. Offerors are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the fbo.gov website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments.
