Description

THIS COMBINED SYNPOSIS/SOLICITATION IS HEREBY AMENDED TO EXTEND THE DUE DATE/TIME FOR QUOTES TO MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2018 AT 12:00 PM. QUOTES MAY BE SENT ELECTRONICALLY VIA E-MAIL TO jwillia@loc.gov. The Library of Congress (Library) requires contract support to procure fiber optical transceivers, with base stations, fiber reels and hand coils of varying length, breakout cables and other components needed for daily use. The Office of the Librarian Multimedia Group (MMG) will use fiber transceivers directly mounted on studio and field use cameras, to transmit audio and video, genlock, tally, intercom, and IP via a single transceiver and base station. The transceivers should be capable of transmitting video ranging from the currently used HD-SDI, and scalable up to4K via quad link for future use. This solution will replace the current throw-down transceiver units that are currently used in venues within the Librarys campus, to transmit HD-SDI audio and video to the MMG control room. The solution sought will use rugged tactical cable to provide a more durable solution for fiber optic use from venue to control room. The single tactical cable will transmit all of the signals needed per camera via a single transceiver. Provided Equipment musst be capable of transmitting 4K/3G/HD-SDI audio, video, genlock, tally, intercom and IP via a single tactical cable using one transceiver that is mounted to studio or field use camera and connected to a base station in the control room. The transceiver shall be a dual V-Mount solution that allows for it be mounted on camera and be used with a standard V-Mount battery. The first year of maintenance and warranty shall be included as an initial service agreement. Please see attached solicitation document for full details. The Statement of Work is contained in Section C of the attached solicitation document.
