Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Contracting and General Services in Falls Church, VA intends to award a purchase order to Ambiguity Zoological, 2005 NE 7th Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33909 for the care and well-being of insects, amphibians, reptiles, aquatic species, and mammals in custody of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS). Care will be provided for venomous animals. Work includes general care, cleaning, feeding, watering, rehabilitation, and veterinary care services of animals accepted at the facility. Health assessments of animals being accepted should be conducted upon receipt and records are to be maintained throughout their stay at the facility documenting health, treatments, and overall condition. FWS will receive a monthly report documenting the overall status of any animal(s) in the custody of the facility. Unless otherwise advised, all animals being cared for by the facility, on behalf of the FWS, due to sensitive law enforcement operations, are to be restricted from public view and are not to be discussed with anyone outside of the facilities staff. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability for this requirement by responding to this announcement. All proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
