Norwood Well Demolition PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Notice to Offeror(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the solicitations closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs incurred." This contract is for the following major items of work: Base item consists of demolition and removal of the Norwood well. Optional items for award are demolition of the well house, tank and foundations in accordance with Washington State Rules and Regulations. The work includes mobilization, demolition of the well and pump, demolition of the entire existing well house, demolition of redwood stave tank, demolition of associated foundations and cleanup, removal and disposal of all debris. There is no electricity, water, or sanitary facilities at the project location. All construction debris shall become property of the contractor and/or shall be disposed of at an approved facility. The control panel within the well house is to be salvaged and delivered to the Forest Service, Quinault Administration Site. The contractor shall fill out a State Water Well Report and file with the Washington State Department of Ecology. PROJECT LOCATION This project is located at the Norwood Housing Compound in Quinault Washington, on the Pacific Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest. It may be reached by traveling 40 miles north of Aberdeen on US Highway 101 to junction with South Shore Road. Turn right onto South Shore Rd and continue on past the Visitor Center 3 miles to the Norwood Housing Compound. The well and well house is located behind the houses. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The Forest Service will award a firm fixed-price contract to that responsible Offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and has been determined to be the best value to the Forest Service. Quotes will be evaluated based upon: price; experience, and past performance. Service Contract Act Wage Rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. Prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
