Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. The purpose of this project is to enhance the overall public access to the Big Hill Lake site in Labette County KS with surfacing improvements with a double chip seal. Proposed improvements include pulverization of the existing asphalt roadway to a depth of 4", placement of 3" new aggregate, compaction and a double chip seal for a six mile section from Anderson Rd to Gray Rd. SIGNIFICANT QUANTITIES •Roadway Aggregate: 7,400 TONS •FDR 4" Depth: 81,500 CUYD •Chip Seal, Type 2B: 81,500 SQYD •Emulsified Asphalt: 385 TON It is anticipated that the project will be advertised in December, 2017 with construction beginning in July, 2018 and extending through September 2018. Estimated total cost is $1 million to $3 million.
