Brand Name J&A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Ref# N5523618Q0001 This is a Request-For-Information (RFI), i.e. sources sought notice, for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a request for quote (RFQ) and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government to issue an RFQ, contract, or purchase order. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or any material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center is seeking vendors to procure/manufacturer, for USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), two (2) EA Wartsila part # WLP001293-001, LHD-1 MX9 Major Overhaul Kit; NSN was discontinued w/o replacement. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to accomplish the work described. Items will be delivered to: SWRMC, M/F USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), 3985 Cummings Rd., Bldg. 116, 1st Floor, San Diego, CA 92136 SWRMC is contemplating the award of a single firm fixed price contract/purchase order for the requirement specified above. The applicable NAICS code is 336611; Ship Building and Repairing. FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors- Commercial Items, applies to the subject RFI. FAR 25.101(a) The Buy American statute restricts the purchase of supplies that are not domestic end products. For manufactured end products, the Buy American statute uses a two-part test to define a domestic end product. (1) The article must be manufactured in the United States; and (2) The cost of domestic components must exceed 50 percent of the cost of all the components. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1907, this component test of the Buy American statute has been waived for acquisitions of COTS items (see 12.505(a)). Vendor shall provide written confirmation with their quote the products they are proposing are in compliance with the Buy American Act. Interested vendors shall submit their capabilities statement (not to exceed five pages) that clearly demonstrates their capability to perform the services described herein. The capabilities statement shall include: Company name Cage Code Address Business size (small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned) [more than one category may be selected as applicable] Point of contact (POC) information for the interested firm Companys technical capabilities The capabilities statement shall also identify, contract numbers for past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarded to your firm, period of performance, contract type, contract amount, a description of the relevant corporate experience, and a point of contact for the customer/recipient of the work performed. The Government will evaluate each respondents capabilities statement to determine if the respondent has the requisite experience and past performance to complete the requirements described herein. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The Government does not commit to providing a response to any comments or questions. No basis for a claim against the Government shall arise as a result of this announcement. Responses shall be received no later than COB 01 November 2017.
