Description

Industry Day Announcement: The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) at China Lake, California intends to host an Industry Day on Thursday, April 10. The goal of this Industry Day is to establish communications with potential sources who possess the skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required to integrate and produce a fully integrated Moving Land Target (MLT) system. This system will include a vehicle and the essential Command and Control (C&C) system to enable the vehicle to perform unmanned operation once the initial course is driven and recorded. The Government intends to set aside this procurement for small business concerns. The Government seeks participation from interested companies. Representatives are invited to attend at the Michelson Laboratory Management Center just off the main lobby of the building. Attendees should plan to arrive between 0730 and 0800 (PDT). The morning segment of Industry Day will consist of several presentations by the Government followed by questions and answers. Briefings begin at 0800 and continue through 1200. The afternoon session will be conducted from 1300 until the demonstration of the current version of the target vehicle is completed. These presentations and information exchanges will provide an open forum for discussion of ideas prior to release of the final RFP. Security clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. Companies interested in attending the Industry Day concerning the MLT should limit their representation to no more than (4) individuals. Each attendee must obtain a visitor's badge to be permitted to enter the premises. Information to be provided for registration is as follows: The Name of the Company, Point of Contact, Title, E-mail address, Attendee's Name, Phone Number, and Social Security Number.
