The purpose of this acquisition is to establish a firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract to purchase Trailing Edge Flap Actuator Drive Assemblies (gearboxes), Trailing Edge Flap Detector Drive & Asymmetry Control (gearbox), and Gearbox Assembly Position Computer Assembly, applicable to the C-5 aircraft. NSN listing will be posted with this synopsis. The resulting five-year contract will consist of a one-year basic period followed by four one-year option periods. All parts require engineering source approval (AMC C). New sources must qualify in accordance with the design control activity procedures. Copies of the Source Qualification Statements and instructions on how/when to submit will be posted with this synopsis. First Articles will be required on all items. The requirement supports full and open competition and will be solicited and awarded utilizing Past Performance-Price Trade-off (PPT) procedures including a requirement for a present/past performance volume.
