The VA Medical Center, Asheville, North Carolina, intends to negotiate a Commercial Item Sole Source contract with Mountain Kidney & Hypertension Associates, PA, 10 McDowell Street, Asheville, North Carolina. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provision are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-24. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has bee prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain On-Call Nephrology Services at the VA Medical Center Asheville, North Carolina. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVIE PROPOSALS. The applicable NAICS Code is 621111 and applicable size standard is $9.0M. All proposals received by March 14, 2008 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
