Description

MTS for Flex Test System 1.0 - Quantity 2 x MTS FlexTest® 40 Controller The MTS FlexTest® 40 Controller is a reliable, versatile and easy-to-use servocontroller. It provides real-time closed-loop control, with transducer conditioning and function generation to drive various types of servo-actuators, and supports a wide array of configurations including: axial and axial/torsional load units, uniaxial and multiaxial test systems, structural test actuators and electrodynamic systems. These controllers are easily re-configurable and provide the ability to re-assign hardware allocation without having to move things around in the chassis. Also, the processors are field-upgradeable, making it simple to add capacity when necessary. Photos are for reference only, not to scale. • Digital Universal Conditioners (DUCs) accommodate a wide range of transducers, including AC and DC devices • Broad array of conditioning modules provides increased flexibility • Modular hardware design allows for more flexible management of control resources • Optional compensation techniques optimize control, even for challenging tests and difficult specimens • Excitation sensing verifies proper voltage to the transducer, regardless of cable length • Excitation loss detection minimizes the chance for errors in the event of cable breaks • Includes MTS Series 793.00 Control Software ------ Controller Summary ------ • Voltage Kit (Power Cord) : North America, 100 - 120 V (AC) (NEMA 5-15) • 494.16 Valve Driver / DUCs : 1 • 494.26 Dual DUCs : 1 • 494.45 Analog Input (A/D) : 1 • 494.47 Dual UART / Encoder Interfaces : 1 • • 494.40 I/O Carrier Modules : 1 • Analog Input (A/D) Breakout Cable Packages : 1 • Front Blank Quantity : 1 • Included E-Stop Cable Length : 4.5 m (15 ft) • FlexTest 40 System Module : 494.42, 1-Station Description Quantity FT40 1-Station 1-Channel Base Model 1 Description Quantity Conditioning for Additional Transducers 1 • Supports two AC or DC transducers • Software control of range • Transducer zero, excitation voltage, excitation frequency, and filter characteristics • Designed for full range calibrations Description Quantity 494.47 2 Channel UART/Encoder 1 • Interface with up to two 494.05 handsets or compatible temperature controllers, OR • One to two encoders or other digital transducers • PN: 100207564 Description Quantity MTS Model 494.05 Handset 1 The Model 494.05 Handset provides an easy, convenient and compact means to install and replace specimens, and to setup and initiate tests at the load frame or test rig. It is available for use with the FlexTest® 40, 60, 100 and 200 controllers. It also provides the ability to adjust actuators, auto-offset signals, start and stop tests, and turn hydraulics on or off. Photos are for reference only, not to scale. • Visible test status display • Precision controls for fine actuator positioning • Ergonomic design for both right- and left-handed operators • PN: 100292300 • Cable Length • Handset Cable #1 7.6 m (25 ft) Description Quantity Handset Retainer with Mounting Screws 1 • PN: 100188282 Description Quantity Customer Declined UPS 1 MTS highly recommends the use of a UPS to supply power to MTS Test Systems Controllers to minimize the risk of loss of power to the system. A loss of power to the system results in a loss of data and causes unintended motion of the system. Description Quantity Customer Supplied Computer for FlexTest controllers 1 Customer Supplied computers require compatibility checks and additional installation time at additional cost. MTS recommends workstations that meet or exceed the following specifications: • Intel Core i5 3.2 GHz Processor, or faster • 8.0 GB RAM • A Hard Drive with at least 20 GB of free disk space • DVD-ROM Drive • Ethernet Network Card • Recommended minimum screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 (for optimal view of interface) • Set the text size (available in the Screen resolution options) to Smaller - 100% (default). If you use other text sizes, some areas of the application may not display properly. • Windows 7 64-bit
