Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2017 July 21 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-17-B-0013 The Pre solicitaion notice title, erroneously states Big Bend. The posted solicititation states correctly Ft Randall tailrace parking lot. On 15 August 2017, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Rehab Tailrace Parking and Driveway, Fort Randall Dam, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 14 September 2017. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit date and time will be issued with the advertisement package. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See ‘Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The base bid entails the replacement of driveway pavement, the modification of an existing driveway, the construction of a concrete dumpster pad, and the construction of a new parking lot and parking lot lighting at Ft. Randall Dam, SD. The driveway replacement includes the removal of existing concrete curb and gutter, bituminous pavement and concrete sidewalk, the construction of new concrete pavement with integral concrete curb, modification of existing storm drain inlets and manholes, and new concrete sidewalk. The driveway modification includes removal of existing concrete curb and gutter and bituminous pavement, construction of asphaltic concrete pavement with concrete curb and gutter, and modification of existing storm drain inlets and manholes. The new dumpster pad and parking lot construction includes removal of existing concrete curb and gutter and existing light poles and bases, construction of concrete pavement with integral concrete curb, asphaltic concrete pavement with concrete curb and gutter, new storm drain manhole and grate inlet, and new light poles and bases. Stripping and placement of topsoil and sodding disturbed areas is also included. The bid option area involves the replacement of driveway pavement, which includes the removal of existing concrete curb and gutter and the construction of new concrete pavement with integral concrete curb The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete by 31 August 2018 after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
