List of Woodward Governorís This Sources Sought Notice is issued in accordance with FAR Part 5, FAR Part 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting officials listed herein. All inquiries shall be in writing. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be other than full and open competition under the North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 333618 and the small business size standard is 1,500 employees. The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, anticipates a requirement for qualified sources that can inspect, overhaul, test, and provide various parts to support the Woodward Governors installed onboard the 420 WAGB, 400 WAGB, 378 WHEC, 282 WMEC, 210 WMEC, 270 WMEC, 140 WTGB, 225 WLB, 175 WLM, and 110 WPB cutters, class buoy tenders, ice-breaker tugs, and patrol boats. All parts supplied must be genuine Woodward Governor parts- no substitutes, or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is the Governments belief that only Woodward Governors, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and their authorized distributors can provide these parts and ensure exact form, fit, and function, with existing equipment. All technical and engineering data is proprietary to the OEM and therefore is not available for release. The list of Woodward Governors is attached to this Sources Sought for your review. Period of Performance: It is anticipated that a firm, fixed priced requirements contract will be awarded with one base year and four option years for the inspection, overhaul, testing, and various parts to support the Woodward Governors. Place of Performance: At the prospective contractors facility. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide the supplies and services described are invited to submit complete information discussing the same. All responsible sources are requested to submit the following: (a) company name, point of contact, address, DUNS Number, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size and a statement of capabilities. The business size shall include any applicable preference program (i.e. 8a, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman Owned, small business). (b)A statement of your intention to submit a response to a solicitation as a prime contractor, and (c) Evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles and dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. Provide at least three references to equivalent type of work in the past five years (provide customer contract number, company, POC name, email and phone number). (d) The information submitted must include a letter from the OEM verifying the offeror is an authorized distributor, and verifying the OEM will supply only genuine OEM parts. (e) A list of most commonly replaced parts and the unit of issue used to repair/overhaul each Governor listed on the attachment. Responses must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. This is a Request for Information (RFI).
