Description

Q&As Posed 9/5/17: What is your estimated production in plots/day/man? - The estimated production per day is based upon one forester conducting all of the cruising him or herself. I factored in average tree count from past cruises, terrain, and cruise intensity. I estimated that 15 to 20 plots could be conducted within an 8 hour work period. What is meant by professional forester? Does the technical supervisor have to be a registered forester in South Carolina? - A professional forester is defined as any individual who takes part in the following: (2) "Forestry" or "practice of forestry" shall mean any professional service relating to forestry, such as consultation, investigation, evaluation, planning or responsible supervision of forest management, protection, silviculture, measurements, utilization, economics, education, or other forestry activities in connection with any public or private lands. The technical supervisor does not have to be licensed in South Carolina but must be licensed in the state that they reside.
