STATEMENT OF WORK SAVAHCS MEDICAL ENDOSCOPIC REPORTING SYSTEM SCOPE OF WORK The current photo documentation system (Endoworks, Olympus Corp.) utilized in the Special Procedure Unit of the Southern Arizona Health Care System will no longer be supported by its corporate license provider as of spring 2018. Such photo documentation is critical medico-legally in the performance of invasive procedures. The currently used endoscopic reporting system is outdated, medicolegally indefensible and does not allow capture of photo documentation with the written report. The planned obsolescence of the Endoworks platform provides the opportunity for the VA to move to an integrated photo documentation and reporting system that will integrate with other VA IT systems and integrate scheduling data and patient demographics into a procedure reporting system that is fully compliant with Joint Commission language and requirements. GENERAL REQUIRMENTS 1. The reporting system must be able to integrate with other VA IT systems and feature a standard content structure allowing integration of patient demographics with a scheduling system that incorporates point of care documentation of procedures. This should also facilitate accurate charge capture for procedures, medications, and supplies used. All elements of the patient encounter should be documented. 2. System must provide data reporting capabilities and reporting tool and allow for customization of quality indicator data analysis. 3. This system must support the full range of gastroenterologic and pulmonary procedures, and document both nursing and physician activities. 4. System must automatically import information from patient vital signs monitors. REQUIREMENTS 1. System must be HL7 and DICOM compatible and must integrate with existing and future EHR systems. 2. Must have inbound and outbound interfaces. 3. Proposal must include necessary hardware(image and video capture workstations, and documentation workstations) and peripherals, licensed software for gastroenterology and pulmonary, maintenance of the software, installation, and training in the systems. 4. Vendor shall insure that most current upgrade is installed and is compatible with existing VA IT capabilities.
