The 11th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, MD is announcing its intention to procure a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Food Service contract with a base period of performance of one (1) year and four (4) one (1) year option periods. The prospective offeror shall provide all personnel, plant, labor, materials, supervision, transportation, and all other items not specifically identified as Government furnished to provide, but not limited to the following: Dining Facility management, cooking, food preparation, serving and replenishing food, cleaning facilities, equipment and utensils, preparing vegetables and fruits for the salad bar, bussing tables in dining areas, performing cashier services, handling foods, supplies, and equipment, maintaining quality control, ensuring operator maintenance and minor/major repair of food service equipment, snow removal, and in the event of contingency, perform all required tasks to include continued service. The contractor shall perform services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) to be attached to the included in the solicitation. The requirement will be competed on a full and open basis. This requirement falls under the Randolph-Sheppard Act (RSA) which provides persons who are blind with remunerative employment and self-support through the operation of vending facilities on federal property, to include cafeteria services in military installations. In accordance with the requirements of the RSA, the current State Licensing Agency for the State of Maryland will be given evaluation priority. Further details on the RSA evaluation will be provided in the solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 722310 Food Service Contractors ($38.5M size standard). It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically within three weeks after posting of this notice on the Federal Business Opportunities website ( http://www.fbo.gov ). Interested offerors are requested to submit their company information, via email, in response to this notice. Paper copies will not be made available. The draft solicitation is anticipated to be added to this notice within a week of posting. All questions shall be submitted to the points of contact listed below. It is incumbent upon all interested offerors to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all notices and documents.
