Contractor First Article Test (FAT) requirements apply. Required delivery is 387 days. Solicitation number is SPE4A7-17-R-1443 and will result in a firm fixed price contract. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation issue date will be on or about 15 Sept 2017. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DIBBS Website https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on the issue date cited in the RFP. If your company desires to be reviewed and qualified as an "Approved Source" for this NSN, you will be required to submit an application package through the Source Approval Request (SAR) Program as outlined in the SAR document at: http://www.dla.mil/Aviation/Business/IndustryResources/SBO.aspx. A SAR package contains all of the technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality, or better, than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Aviation is procuring.
