Request for Quote This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is 2017-12552 and is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the following requirement, please either fill in the dollar amounts or provide a separate excel spreadsheet containing the same information including a list of line item number(s) and items, quantities, units of measure, and options, if applicable: CLIN 0001: Reference materials Carboxylesterase, Including any shipping charges Your quote shall include the following: • Total Price for CLIN 0001 • Shipping Charges Delivery Date: 09/30/2017 Delivery Address: CDC Distribution Center 3719 North Peachtree Rd Chamblee, GA 30341 Exclusive licensing agreements / Proprietary Data. Other Facts Supporting Sole Source Procurement: The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) is the only lab with the unique capabilities and methodologies to carry out research determining if carboxylesterase adducts are good biomarkers for reactive organophosphate exposure while meeting the high quality required of CDC/DLS. TNO has previously provided research services for the Emergency Response Branch, and their work is known to meet the high quality required in the Division of Laboratory Sciences. In a previous project with TNO, carboxylesterase adducts were identified as potential sensitive biomarkers for exposure to reactive organophosphates. This work is not publicly available and will serve as the foundation for the development of carboxylesterase as a biomarker for human exposure to organophosphates. Acceptance and FOB point The quote format is at the discretion of the offeror. It is the offerors responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95 (Jan 19, 2017). This acquisition is full and open under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 and full and open small business size standard 1,000 employees. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be issued in writing to the successful offeror.
