The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, North East Area, has a requirement for providing a Flow Cytometer. The product includes, but is not limited to, these principal features: Have the capability of up to 3 lasers, 14 parameters with 12 colors, use state of the art fiber optics to carry the light/fluorescent signal from the flow cell for the PMTs, have the polygon optical arrangement and three pinholes for up to three lasers, have fixed alignment optics in conjunction with solid state lasers, have easily replaceable optical filters and mirrors for experimental flexibility, have sensitivity of <30 MESF-PE, <80 MESF-FITC and <75 MESF-APC(published specs), provide for performing real-time statistics via the DIVA software. Lab personnel are familiar with Diva software and must have this to reduce the down time for training new software, have the CS and T software for standardizing and to QC the instrument (Cytometer Setup and Tracking software). Totally automates the QC of numerous parameters and alerts the user if a parameter does not meet specification and tracks the QC parameters over time, be capable of analyzing at least 30 logical gates, have digital electronics with acquisition speeds of 25000 events per second, have the capability to sample from a 96 well microtiter plate with the HTS (High Throughput Sampler). The HTS can run a 96 well plate in the high throughput mode is less than 15 minutes, use continuous flow of sheath fluid, no syringe based systems, for looking at unlimited data volume or rare event analysis, have the capability for adding the FacsFlow Supply System which has up to 20 liter capacity for sheath fluid and waste thus allowing the user to run the unit for long periods of time without needing to add Sheath fluid doing long runs, have a proven user base with service support guaranteed within 48 hours. Have a foot print of <2x2 and a height of 2 or less, have electronics that have virtually zero electronic noise thus allowing the user to see real populations down to the 1-2 log region, System must be configured to run the latest Brilliant Dyes from Sirigen. Performance Period: The Contractor shall supply this product within 60 calendar days after receipt of order. It is anticipated that award will result in a firm fixed-price contract.
