Description

The 319th Contracting Flight intends to issue a solicitation for school bus services at Grand Forks AFB ND. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all equipment, tools, supervision, and services necessary to perform services as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work will include transporting students living in military family housing on Grand Forks AFB to and from Nathan F. Twining Elementary/Middle School located on base. The contract must be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This acquisition will be done in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items). Award will be made by Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price requirements contract. The basic period of performance will begin on or about 1 Nov 17 and end on or about 30 Apr 18, with the governments option to extend four subsequent years. This acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 485410, School and Employee Bus Transportation, with a small business size standard of $15M. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 1 Sep 17, and the anticipated response date is 30 Sep 17. Paper copies will not be mailed. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website to obtain the solicitation and any amendments or other information pertaining to the solicitation; prospective offerors are encouraged to register for notification through FBO. All offerors doing business with the government MUST register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to any subsequent award. SAM registration can be accomplished online at http://www.sam.gov. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process.
