Industry Day Questionnaire Industrial Base Self-Assessment Report (Word) Industrial Base Self-Assessment (Excel File) On 24 July 2017, Naval Surface Warfare Carderock Division posted a presolicitation notice (reference: N00167-17-Propulsor_Industry_Day) announcing its Industry Day held on 16 August 2017. The N00167-17-Propulsor_Industry_Day notice stated that a sources sought notice would be posted. The intent of this notice is to fulfill that requirement and provide the format for providing information in response to this announcement. Interested parties who did not attend Industry Day are encouraged to provide information using the attachments of this notice. Instructions on how to fill out the attachments: File Name: Industrial_Base_Self_Assessment (Excel File)- Review each end-item process within each class and provide an assessment of your companys current capabilities in the following areas: Certification to Conduct Process, Equipment Capable of Conducting Process, Equipment Used Previously on Similar Component, and Manufacturing Plan. For this attachment, companies shall use the following assessment ratings: "G" meaning the firm is qualified to perform specified area (i.e.Certification to Conduct Process); "A" meaning the process has not been demonstrated or the firm will require additional resources (i.e. machine is fully utilized or a machine is needed); "R" meaning further investigation is required or firm has no interest in pursuing that area; and N/A for not applicable. The "G" (Green), "A" (Amber), "R" (Red), and N/A ratings can be selected by using the drop downs in the excel file. Note: a) Once a rating is entered, the color of the cell will change to correspond to the rating. b) Any ratings provided in the attached excel spreadsheet were provided as an example and shall be changed to reflect your companys capabilities. File Name: Industrial_Base_Self-Assessment_Report (Word File) - This document corresponds to the Industrial_Base_Self_Assessment (Excel File) and is intended to provide the supporting rationale to the ratings assigned in the excel file. The Government encourages industry to provide as much detail as necessary to support the ratings in the excel spreadsheet. There is no page limit for this response. Note: Please make sure to remove the examples as they were provided for informational purposes only. File Name: Industry_Day_Questionnaire - This document is only applicable to those firms that attended the Industry Day Event on 16 August 2017 and is intended to allow industry the opportunity to provide feedback on Industry Day. Firms who did not attend industry day may provide the information requested in the Industry Day FBO announcement by 21 September 2017. This announcement supersedes the request to provide a capabilities statement by 8 September 2017. This request shall not be considered a commitment of any kind by the Government. The Government will not reimburse any cost to develop and/or provide information in response to this request.
