PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS HEAVY DUTY SELF PROPELLED ALL-WHEEL DRIVE DUAL ENGINE ROTARY SNOW BLOWER RFQ No. P17PS02435 The National Park Service (NPS), Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (SEKI), located in Tulare County, California has a requirement for a Heavy Duty Self Propelled All-Wheel Drive Dual Engine Rotary Snow Blower. The snow blower shall be a ribbon type with a minimum capacity of 2,600 tons per hour (TPH) with a casting distance as measured from the blower to the point of maximum deposition under a no-wind condition of 75 feet minimum. The snow blower shall be a double engine design but still be able to negotiate narrow, tight roads, and hairpin curves. Unit can be utilized with chute or without. If chute is not attached, blower unit should be able to throw snow both to the right and left of the unit. See solicitation Section J, Attachment No. 001 for the complete specification. All work shall be performed under a single, fixed price contract. This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for Small Business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333120; the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. The Government intends to award a purchase order resulting from the Request for Quotations (RFQ) to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The RFQ will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on or about August 16, 2017 at either FBO: http://www.fbo.gov or FedConnect: https://www.fedconnect.net. The prospective Offeror is responsible for periodically checking these websites for any amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ. Interested parties may explore the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks website to acquaint themselves with the general area and to view park maps at http://www.nps.gov/seki.
