AMENDMENT 05 All ECU Specification Control/Vendor Item Control drawings shall have the following note: "Identification of the Suggested Source(s) of Supply hereon is not to be construed as a guarantee of present of continued availability as a source of supply of the item(s)." Specification Control/Vendor Item Control drawings permit alternative sources of supply than those listed on the drawing provided the item meets the specifications detailed on the drawing. When proposing alternative source items the manufacturers name and part number shall be provided. For Source Control Drawings, an additional source not listed will need to conform to form, fit, and function and the Offeror must provide the details and, if applicable, test results that fully indicates the proposed item is an adequate source. Additionally, the Offeror must be cognizant of and comply with ECU performance requirements as detailed in the "General Requirements and Test Specification For A/E 32C-45A Environment Control Unit" found on sheet 4 of the 1559AS400 drawing (and in the WORD DOC entitled "General Requirement and Test Specification for ECU (July2010)" found in the Data Package). Any Source Control Drawing part substitution shall not have adverse impact on ECU performance which is to be demonstrated as part of Preproduction and Individual Acceptance Testing. The Offeror must also identify the manufacturer and applicable part number for the additional source. The proposal must include information evidencing the form, fit, and function/interchangeability of the proposed substitute components, this information should be separately attached to the Technical Volume of the proposal and will not count against the 15 page limit provided in Section L of the Solicitation for the Technical Volume.
