This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with four 1 year ordering periods for the purchase of LAU-12X Electrical Solenoid, NSN: 5945-01-334-8082, part number: 653752-2. Solenoid is part of umbilical assembly of LAU-127, LAU-128, LAU-129, and LAU-139 launcher assemblies, used to facilitate launch sequence of AIM-120 missile system. The Government intends to award a five year firm fixed price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract IAW FAR 16.504. FAR Part 15 procedures will be utilized. This requirement will require a First Article (FA). All technical requirements for first article approval tests will be included in the RFP. The RFP will contain information on the conditions that must be met to qualify for a First Article waiver. Two (2) First Articles are required. The basic production quantity is 300 EA. The requirement also includes four 1 year ordering periods. Estimated quantities for Ordering Periods 1 and 2 are two hundred (200) each with quantities for Ordering Periods 3 and 4 estimated at one hundred fifty (150) each. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. The Government will evaluate proposals and make award in accordance with the evaluation criteria stated in the RFP. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around 24 August 2017. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage ( http://www.fbo.gov/ ). The data for this item is a Source Control Drawing restricting competition to approved sources of supply identified on drawing. All questions regarding the RFP and/or the data packages must be submitted in writing to jimmy.hicks@us.af.mil with copy to virginia.elliott1@us.af.mil NO QUESTIONS MAY BE SUBMITTED BY TELEPHONE. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal.
