The Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare System Brooklyn campus, intends to make a Firm Fixed Price order under the authority of FAR 8.405-6, Items peculiar to one manufacturer, and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, on or about September 1, 2017 to Olympus America, Inc. under its current VA National Acquisition Center (NAC) Federal Supply Schedule Contract V797P-2065D. The period of performance will be for a base period of 12 months with 2 option years and a purchase option. Some items and the full maintenance service are open market items. The prospective contractor shall provide towers, cameras and scopes for the performance of Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumors (TURBT) and the Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP), endoscopic removal ureteral and bladder stones, and endoscopic ureteral stents in the Operating Rooms (ORs). The lease includes service costs for flexible cystoscopes and flexible ureterscopes in addition to the tower for the OR, with an option to purchase the leased equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112 with the size standard of 1,000 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation and technical capabilities, which, if received within fifteen calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by Network Contracting Office 2. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
