Remediation services at Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) is currently performed by Great Southern Engineering (GSE) for the Electrical Resistivity Heating (ERH) Pilot Study in Rinsewater Area (RWA-1) with a period of performance of August 21, 2015 through September 1, 2016. Due to utility construction delays at MAF, the period of performance was extended to August 31, 2017. A follow-on effort is required for Implementation of the ERH Pilot Study for RWA-1 and is predicated upon completion of the surface installation and startup task on current remediation contract. The follow-on effort requires utilization of the specialized equipment currently in place at MAF. The estimate for demobilization/remobilization of this equipment is $350,000 if Implementation phase was transitioned to a different contractor. Therefore, it is anticipated than no contractor other than the incumbent can perform this effort due to demobilization/ remobilization costs if transitioned to a different contractor. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency.
