Description

The following is a sources sought notice for market research purposes only, no solicitation is available at this time. The 49th Contracting Squadron at Holloman AFB, NM is seeking sources for a cross-connection/backflow prevention device survey. BACKGROUND: This survey involves visiting every water-using facility and checking for crossed connections between potable and non-potable water, and checking for inoperable backflow prevention devices. This effort involves assessing 370 buildings. This survey must be done every five years according to Air Force Instruction 32-1067, Civil Engineering Water and Fuel Systems. The following is not an exhaustive listing but contractors can be expected to perform the following: •· Inspect up to a 100-foot radius surrounding each building •· Examine visibly exposed piping and point-of-use devices •· Document, catalog, and tag all crossed connections between potable and non-potable water •· Identify, catalog, and evaluate all existing protections, air gaps, vacuum breaks, and other backflow prevention devices. Interested bidders should provide a capabilities statement, past performance on similar efforts, or similar literature on how they can meet the Governments needs. In addition, interested bidders should respond with their companys socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, large business, service disabled veteran-owned, etc.) and corresponding North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code. Respondents should also register or be registered in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov. Registration is free and will become necessary in order to be eligible for award, if a solicitation becomes available. Please note that this sources sought notice is for preliminary market research only. A formal solicitation is not available at this time. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs or fees associated with responding to this notice.
