Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region (Western) has a requirement for annual training services in the safe operation of cranes and rigging, including but not limited to crane and rigging skills, proper load restrictions, lifting capabilities, safe rigging techniques, potential hazards, accident prevention and safe work practices in an energized environment. Training will include classroom and field exercises/demonstrations. Western will furnish equipment for training purposes, e.g., crane/boom truck and rigging materials. Term of contract is anticipated to be one base year (2008) and four option years (2009-2012), one training course per year on a rotating basis at 3 locations in Colorado and Wyoming. Training will be held on the dates specified in the contract Schedule. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 611519 or 611699 and the applicable size standard is $6.5 million. The solicitation (Request for Quotes/RFQ) will be issued electronically on or about January 29, 2008. Quotes may be mailed, emailed or submitted electronically as indicated in the RFQ. Quotes will be evaluated based upon the criteria stated in the RFQ. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be considered for award. Contractors may register at www.ccr.gov. DUNS number is required for CCR registration. Proposals are due by 5:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, February 19, 2008.
