Description

U.S. Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick, MA has a requirement for ballistic evaluation of the current suspension system system and an alternative system for the USMC Lightweight Helmet to asses the performance in the event of an impact. The Gove rnment anticipates awarding one (1) Firm-Fixed Price Order to The University of Virginia Center for Applied Biomechanics (UVaCAB) an Educational Institution located in Charlottesville, VA 22904-4195. This contract is being awarded to evaluate the performa nce of each suspension system. Evaluation and testing is to be conducted at The University of Virginia Center for Applied Biomechanics, the period of performance for this award will be six months from the time evaluation begins. Services shall be FOB De stination and inspection and acceptance shall be at destination by the cognizant receiving authority. The North American Industry Classification System Identifier for this procurement is 541710; the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees.
